We seek an experienced and skilled Bridge Saw Operator to join our dedicated team.
Job Description:
Operate and maintain bridge saw machines to cut stone slabs according to specified dimensions and shapes.
Cutting:
Interpret and follow cutting plans, blueprints, and templates.
Make precise cuts for various stone materials, including granite, marble, quartz, etc.
Reviewing work for production and managing installation schedule acting as an interface between sales and production to ensure success from pre to post-installation stages;
Managing administrative purchasing processes;
Conducting inventory control and implementing “material tag” systems for slabs and remnants;
Quality Control:
Inspect stone slabs before and after cutting to ensure quality and consistency.
Identify and address any defects or issues with the stone or the cutting process.
Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the bridge saw and related equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues with the machinery.
Safety:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Coordination:
Work closely with the fabrication and installation teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
Communicate effectively with team members regarding job specifications and deadlines.
Experience:
Proven experience operating a bridge saw in a stone fabrication environment.
Familiarity with various stone materials and their properties.
Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy stone slabs and materials.
Comfortable working in a fabrication shop environment exposed to dust, noise, and machinery.
